Cellecta’s YELOfon HD10+ under screed acoustic layer system has recently been installed at the heart of the Poundbury project, within the Dorset County town of Dorchester. The development is currently home to approximately 3,000 people, a mixture of private and affordable housing, which accounts the total of 35 per cent. The community hosts 180 businesses providing employment for over 2,000 people. Construction began in 1993 built on the principles outlined in Prince Charles’ book A Vision of Britain, published in 1989.
Under the watchful eye of the Duchy of Cornwall developers, Cellecta’s YELOfon HD10+ system was specified for its acoustic value and proven track record as a underscreed resilient layer.
Ian Hammond – Managing Director at PC Flooring said “For more than a decade we have successfully installed Cellecta’s YELOfon HD10+ system on multiple projects when a high acoustic performance has been the critical requirement of the build. Compared to the competition’s offering, Cellecta’s YELOfon HD10+ complete solution is lighter & quicker to install, providing considerable savings on labour costs. The system is completed by applying a fast drying screed ensuring an unrivalled acoustic performance.”
Cellecta’s YELOfon HD10+ under screed solution is specifically designed to be installed under a floating screed on a concrete floor. In addition to the systems excellent acoustic performance (Robust detail EFC‐5), YELOfon HD10+ also excels in installation, practicality and cost effectiveness. The acclaimed high density, non-cross‐linked, HCFC free polyethylene resilient layer system carries its own proprietary Robust Detail E‐FC‐5.
